I think that I can best sum up what Ian has taught me over the last years by confessing that I would never have attempted to venture into MIKA or Freddie Mercury vocal territory before. I just didn’t have the range for it. SLS is truly a wonderful technique, which has enabled me to have a balanced, connected voice from the bass to tenor range. When I sang bass for “Sweeney Todd” people thought I was a bass and when I perform some of my own songs people think I’m a tenor. “Ian has been my singing teacher for the last 18 months and it is fair to say that there has been a steady transformation in my singing during this time. I have been a full time street performer for the last 3 years, singing for up to 25 hours a week.
